V4 BPU Mounting Location

V4 BPU Mounting Location

The BPU is typically mounted in a covered area outside of the operator’s cab near the battery. It is important to make sure it is kept away from extreme heat.

Ultimately, the final installation location will be dictated by the maximum cable length available for the sensors and the antenna.

WARNING - Do not fit BPU in areas which radiates a large amount of heat. Eg. Next to the Engine or Exhaust.

  • The BPU may be installed in any orientation, however the cable harness must be supported to relieve radial tension of the M12 panel connectors.

  • If the BPU is mounted vertically, it is recommended to install with the connector panel facing downwards to prevent water pooling at the connectors.

Mounting locations

  • The BPU has four M8 mounting tabs at each corner.

  • A magnetic mounting kit is provided as well as an M8 fastening kit.

  • It is important to consider potential theft when choosing a mounting location.

  • Holes must not be drilled into any structural or safety items such as Roll Over Protection Structures without manufacturer approval.
